A method of producing a CD-Rom of reduced dimensions A standard 120mm or 80mm blank CD-Rom is selected to give a postcard or visiting card shaped disk. The usable area is delimited on the obverse by an autoadhesive translucent mask. Both sides are painted with an acrylic paint. On the reverse side the paint serves to soften the plastic substrate to make cutting easier. The disk is placed in a plastic support consisting of a plastic plate comprising several cutouts to hold disks securely in position and cut to the desired shape with a high pressure water jet. A hole permitting use as a key fob is also created with the same equipment. The mask is then removed by hand. Engraving or pressing of data onto the reduced surface of the disk is carried out by conventional means. In the form of a visiting card the disk can hold about 40 megabytes.
