The connector has two pairs of bolt holes inside a body (12) for crossing grooves. Movable pins are placed inside a pair of bolt holes. A spring compresses a head (32) of each movable pin in a radial manner towards outside. The pins are tightly coupled to retaining slots of a core drill (50) when the connector (10) is placed adjacent to an upper end of the drill. An independent claim is also included for an assembly comprising a core drill and a connector.
