The injector has an injecting unit (70) with an injecting needle (41) that cooperates with a seat valve (46) to control an ejecting orifice. The unit is subjected only to action of single less resisting spring in closing position. The unit moves a damping piston (50) into a damping chamber (47) filled with liquid, after traveling a partial stroke of the opening movement, for discharging the liquid and damping opening movement.
