The duct has injecting units (18) transversally injecting a liquid fuel in an exhaust duct (10) of an internal combustion engine in a manner that the injected fuel is evaporated in contact with a hot exhaust gas (G). A non-evaporated part of the injected fuel attains a humid zone (24) of an inner cylindrical face (14) of the duct in a liquid phase. A heating unit (26) evaporates the fuel, which is interposed between the units (18) and the zone (24).
