The center has a frame with a table (2) for receiving components (3) to be machined. A pinion (6) and a single strand chain (7) permit to move the components between the table and a components storing zone remote from the table. The pinion and the chain are driven into movement by rotation of a pin (4) of a tool holder (5), at coupled state of the pin. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a machining installation including a machining center (B) a transfer device between a machining center and a components storing device.
