The panel (2) has a support (4) carrying optical fibers (6) that are grouped for forming bundles (12) and are made of glass or plastic material. The fibers act as a waveguide and transport visible light emitted by a light source. The fibers are interlaced on the support so that each bundle traverses a zone of the support. The source is connected to lower grouped ends of the fibers for supplying light to each fiber. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a panel.
