An imaging system (100) for use in a medical intervention procedure. A first image acquisition system (115) is configured to produce a fluoroscopic image (182) of an anatomical region (255). A second image acquisition system (118) is configured to produce a 3 D model (184) of the anatomical region (255). An intervention monitoring system (405), which includes a position indicator (410), is configured to maneuver within the anatomical region (255). A first anatomical registration system (117) is common to both the first and second image acquisition systems (115, 118), and a second anatomical registration system (420) is common to both the first system (115) image acquisition and intervention monitoring system (405). A processing circuit (170) is configured to process the executable instructions to match the second image acquisition system (118) with the first image acquisition system (115) to define a first match, to match the intervention monitoring system (405) with the first image acquisition system (115) to define a second match and, in response to the first and second matches, to match the intervention monitoring system (405) with the second image acquisition system (118).
