The method involves fixing a mono axial gyroscopic sensor (6) at a wheel (2) of a vehicle (3) to measure an angular speed around an axis parallel to a rotational axis (R) of the wheel. A signal at the terminals of the gyroscopic sensor is measured to determine a rotational direction of the wheel. The location of right or left position of the wheel is deduced from the rotational direction and a movement direction of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a wheel`s right or left position locating device.
