In the treatment of gaseous emissions in catalytic installations for nitrogen oxides (NOx) removal, the operating temperature of the installation is controlled with respect to the sulfur dioxide (SO 2) concentration measured downstream or upstream of the catalytic engine, by means of appropriate analyzers. An independent claim is also included for the installation for the treatment of gaseous emissions in a nitrogen oxides (NOx) removal installation. The installation has engines in series or parallel, single casting catalyst modules, or casting with several cells connected separately. The signal from the analyzer modifies the temperature by an algorithm, which calculates the entry temperature of the engine with respect to the SO 2 concentration in the fumes.
