The method involves inserting a tool (50) between a connection cartridge (20) and a wall of a housing (102) so that the tool acts on an anchor washer (16). The washer is arranged exterior to the cartridge which is housed in the housing. The tool has a tubular end portion (51) arranged in a manner to remove teeth of the washer from the wall. The cartridge is pulled out from the housing. An independent claim is also included for a tool for implementing a connection cartridge extraction method.
