The axle has a transversal support (2) with a chute shaped longitudinal part. A zone of the longitudinal part has a rigidifying unit (9), under the form of a connecting lug, through which branches of the support extending in a longitudinal direction are elastically connected with each other using an elastomer component (12). The rigidifying unit surrounds longitudinal edges (3, 4) of the branches, on outer side.
