The device has two jaws (1, 2) placed on each side of flanks of a door (3). The jaws are at fixed spacing and have a lateral clearance relative to door thickness. The jaws act, under the effect of the action of a gripping handle (4), on the flanks situated on the side of hinges, by opposite support points for self-locking of the jaws on the door. The jaws are interiorly covered with a flexible and removable protective sole plate (5).
