Multi fluid heat exchanger for use in motor vehicles, has cut in common elongated manifold of heat exchangers, for relative thermal growth of heat exchanger cores

A cut (32) is provided in the common elongated manifold (12) of the heat exchangers (16,18) at a location between pair of baffles (26,28) in the elongate manifold and primary and secondary cores of the heat exchanger. Majority of the transverse cross section of the manifold is removed at the cut to allow for relative thermal growth of the cores. An independent claim is also included for the manufacturing method of multi-fluid heat exchanger.
