The pulsed current arc welding procedure for aluminium alloy components, carried out with an inert gas protection, in which an electric arc welding torch is fed with a fusible wire that acts as an electrode, has the wire delivered at a rate that is pulsed between maximum and minimum values to induce a supplementary current pulse corresponding to 'hot' and 'cold' time periods that can be varied according to the thickness of the components being welded.
