The tights are made from assembled pieces of stretch textile materials having three different degrees of stretch - the first (11, 12, 13, 21) with normal elasticity, the second (2, 3, 4, 7, 9) providing support, and the third (8) with higher elasticity. The first and second types have more or less the same degree of elasticity in a lengthwise direction along the garment, while the second ones have a lower transverse elasticity than the first, e.g. in a ratio of 1 : 2 or 1 : 3. In the knee zones the pieces are assembled to allow an angle of flexure that varies according to the sport being pursued. At least one first or second piece has a false seam (15') that forms an oblique line of reduced elasticity. Another second piece with a support effect covers the internal and external muscles of the lower leg.
