The sensor has an optical system for projecting an image of a scene to be observed on a network of light-sensitive zones formed in a same monolithic semiconductor chip. The network is divided into two matrices (M1, M2) that are read independently. The optical system includes two optical sub-assemblies (L1, L2), each adapted for projecting the scene on respective matrix. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing and using an electronic image.
