This device comprises means for producing compression pressure values (14; 16) that can be exerted by the orthosis on the surface of the limb; means (10) for numerically simulating the action of the restraint on the limb; hemodynamic venous return delivering blood flow values and / or intravenous pressure at a plurality of points of a numerical model representative of the limb venous network of the member, and means (26) for presenting these values. These are displayed as a valued oriented graph comprising a plurality of interconnected arcs, with associated with each arc a corresponding value of blood flow and / or intravenous pressure. The compression pressure values can be delivered by simulation software based on the morphological characteristics of the limb (20) and the dimensional and rheological characteristics of the orthosis (22).
