Cosmetic composition (A) comprises tribochromic derivative (I) in a medium. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process of changing the color or shade of the skin, keratinous fibers, lips or superficial body growths, comprising applying a composition (A) on skin, lips or superficial body growths, and applying a mechanical stress, preferably a manual friction to obtain the change of coloration or color-shade, where the duration and the friction force is a function of the desired color-shade; and (2) a device or kit with two compartments, for dyeing of human keratinous fibers (preferably hair), comprising (A) and a cosmetic additive.
