The method involves winding electrical conductor units, comprising an enamel top surrounding a copper wire, to form superimposed layers containing a horizontal and vertical juxtaposition of turns of the conductor units. Interstices (33) formed between the adjacent turns are filled with a binder (34) e.g. liquid varnish. The filing of the interstices is performed during the winding of the conductor units. An independent claim is also included for a rotating machine equipped with a rotor comprising a field coil.
