The device has a connection plate (5) inserted between an external face of a rigid body understructure (1) oriented towards a door of a motor vehicle near which a seat is placed and an internal face of a case covering the body understructure. The plate has a base lying parallel to an upper face of a rail on which the body understructure is fixed by a bolt (3). The base has a unit cooperating with the bolt and a unit maintaining the plate against the external face of the body under structure. A complementary unit (9) traverses a part and the external face.
