The method involves determining an uncertainty zone in which an event or object is found and is detected by sensor (2). Video cameras (3) are associated to the zone, where the cameras record information located in the zone by a recording unit (5). The sensors and the cameras are synchronized by a synchronization unit (4). The recorded images and the detected events are dated by the unit (4). The sensors and the recording unit are connected to a computer (6). The information relative to the type of detected event is transmitted to the computer by the sensor. An independent claim is also included for an object or event locating device comprising a sensor.
