System using temporary names which can be handed out to untrusted parties in lieu of mobile phone number for use in SMS communications

In order to avoid nuisance or pestering communications a system is proposed whereby in individual would have a card on to which they could write a temporary name reference or identifier which could be used to contact them using SMS messages. If the individual then wished to terminate communication the name could be cancelled, without having to change mobile phone numbers or utilise number blocking facilities. The card would also include instructions about how the temporary name was to be used and how it could be cancelled or changed. In use the temporary name would be included at the start of a text message after some keyword and sent to a phone number specified on the card. The system would then use this information to forward the message to the individual associated with the card without revealing their mobile phone number.
