PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent unauthorized changes of configuration of a slot machine. PSOLUTION: The changes to the configuration of a slot machine is conditional on a function to rotate a spherical handle of a start switch (S32). The start switch has a special structure and the handle corresponds to a dial of a money safe. When the handle is rotated appropriately (YES in S34), a set value is determined (S35), and otherwise it is determined as an error (S37). The security is improved by not permitting determination of any change of settings unless the handle of the start switch is rotated in accordance with the requirements previously memorized in the game machine even if a person has a key for a setting key switch or a front door.
