PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide phenols and a carboxylic acid capturing material that can capture phenols and carboxylic acid by merely allowing them to contact a liquid containing an oily solution where phenols and carboxylic acid are dissolved, can easily elute the captured phenols and carboxylic acid to recover them and is excellent in desorbability, can separate and recover phenols and carboxylic acid in alcohols, is excellent in versatility without limiting kinds of treatable liquids, recover phenols and carboxylic acid that are to be useful raw materials of plastic materials and the like from industrial waste liquids and the like, and are effective to remove endocrine disrupters.;SOLUTION: The phenols and carboxylic acid capturing material contain a high molecular compound where proton attractive monomers having an atomic group expressed by the formula (1) are polymerized.
