PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain bulky coated paper for matted printing of low coating amount, which has low density, low white paper gloss and is excellent ink drying property and high printability.;SOLUTION: The bulky coated paper for matted printing of low coating amount having a low coating amount is obtained by coating base paper composed of chemical pulp as a main raw material with a coating liquid composed of two or more kinds of kaolines not containing calcium carbonate as a main component, preferably, consisting of 20-80 mass% of kaoline having an average particle diameter of ≤1.0 μm and 20-80 mass% of kaoline having an average particle diameter of ≥1.5 μm, an anionic surfactant and a binder, which, has a B-type viscosity of 300-800 mPa, a dynamic water retention amount of 30-70 g/m², a coated amount on one side by a roll coater method of 3-10 g/m² and treating the coated paper by a two stack soft calendar having two-step soft nips composed of a combination of a metal roll and an elastic roll and has a density of ≤1.0 g/cm³ and a white paper gloss at 75 degree of ≤30% and a Smooster smoothness of ≤35 kPa.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
