PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal member attaching method to a metal cavity inner part of the microwave firing furnace capable of preventing electrical discharge between a metal member and a metal cavity, attaching the metal member to the metal cavity with small working man-hour and capable of freely removing the metal member.;SOLUTION: Electric field strength between metal plates 30 and the metal cavity 13 is limited to be less than 1 kV/mm by attaching the metal plates 30 to the metal cavity 13 at 1 to 5 mm intervals. Thus, electrical discharge between the metal plates 30 and the metal cavity 13 can be prevented and damage of the metal cavity by electrical discharge can be prevented. As an interval of a screw 31 for attaching the metal plate 30 to the metal cavity 13 can be set equal to or larger than 1/8 of wave length of microwave, it is possible to reduce the operation man-hour. As it is possible to remove the metal plates 30 freely, maintenance operation of the metal cavity 13 is easy.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
