PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for diagnosing vegetation with image analysis, intended for diagnosing biomass quantity and stress level of vegetation at the same time, and evaluating both quantitative character of vegetation and qualitative character such as water stress and stress of damage by disease and pest.;SOLUTION: This method for diagnosing vegetation comprises loading on a balloon a visible-light camera, a near infrared camera and a thermal infrared camera in a photographing controllable manner with remote control, flying the balloon and photographing in the air vegetation of an area to be diagnosed with the visible-light camera, near infrared camera and thermal infrared camera, getting an NDVI image from an R image obtained with the visible-light camera and an image obtained with the near infrared camera, and diagnosing the vegetation from the NDVI image and a thermal infrared image obtained with the thermal infrared camera.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
