PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a database management system and a table association method for a relational database, capable of easily associating two tables with each other and flexibly responding to extension of the database.;SOLUTION: The system comprises a table formation means for forming a plurality of tables defining a table structure by setting a plurality of different items; an association table formation means for forming an association table defining a table structure by setting a first item common to a predetermined item of one of the two tables and a second item common to a predetermined item of the other table, and an association means for associating the predetermined item of the one table with the first item of the association table, and associating the predetermined item of the other table with the second item of the association table.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
