PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a unit detecting device or the like for easily achieving reduced size and simplification and preventing the occurrence of an operation mistake or the like to accordingly have no risk that a secondary failure occurs by automatically detecting a unit without manual work of a worker.;SOLUTION: The unit detecting device is provided with a unit information detecting means provided in an adapter to which each unit is mounted to detect unit information for the unit, a command transferring means provided in the adapter to attach the unit information detected by the unit information detecting means to a received command on the basis of the command and transfer the command, and a unit information acquiring means for receiving all of the commands of the adapter transferred by the command transfer means and acquiring unit information for all units attached to the command.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
