METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR SELECTING SPECIES OF COAL FOR POWER GENERATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for selecting a species of coal for power generation, which assists in selecting a species of coal that minimizes a total cost per unit generated power value.;SOLUTION: The method assists in formation of the optimal plan for purchase of coal by: computing a cost for purchasing and a cost for transporting coal required to generate a desired amount of electricity; computing an amount of each discharge produced and a cost for treating each discharge; determining species of coal to be purchased and their mixing ratio so that the total cost per unit generated power value is minimized; and taking into account a profit to be earned by effectively utilizing the produced emissions as a resource and the amount of environmental tax which is liable for.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
