PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive forming method by which connection part strength and out-of-plane impact property can be enhanced by converting brittle failure behavior as a weak point to ductile failure while keeping high productivity which is a merit of a fiber-reinforced plastic comprising a discontinuous fiber and simultaneously the method dose not need preprocessing step in which a reinforcing metal must be machined into a final shape in advance up to now.;SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the composite member 5 of a metal sheet and a fiber-reinforced plastic has a step for heating, pressing and forming a fiber-reinforcing plastic base material 1 including the discontinuous reinforcing fiber and a resin in forming molds 2, and in this step, the metal sheet 4 having opening portions is arranged in at least a part of the forming molds, the metal sheet is deformed by the movement for closing the forming molds 2, and at the same time the metal sheet and the fiber reinforcing plastic is integrated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
