PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper-body posture retaining and movement assisting device using a parallel wire driving mechanism.;SOLUTION: This upper-body posture retaining and movement assisting device using the parallel wire driving mechanism is characterized in that an interval between a stationary node 1 and an output node 2 is linked with a plurality of links 3; the end parts of the links 3 in the side of the stationary node 1 are defined as driving joints and disposed with actuators 4; the link 3 is composed of a wire; the output node 2 is defined as an upper body support part; the end parts of the wires 3 in the side of the output node 2 are connected to the upper body support part 2, and the lengths of the respective wires 3 under conditions, where tension is constantly applied, are changed by the actuators 4 to move the upper body support part 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
