PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing chelate fibers, by which a large amount of a chelating agent can be injected into the fibers by a simple method.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the chelate fibers comprises a process for preparing fibers formed from a polymer material and a medium for immersing the fibers, a process for charging a chelating agent into the medium, a process for charging the fibers into the medium, and a process for heating the medium containing the chelating agent charged thereinto and the fibers at a prescribed temperature and simultaneously pressuring the mixture at a prescribed pressure. The chelating agent includes a compound having an oxine structure, a dithizone structure, a thionalide structure or an azo group.
