PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a composite in which a carbonaceous porous support and carbon fibers are made into the composite by producing the carbon fibers on the carbonaceous porous support and in the carbonaceous porous support.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the composite comprising the carbonaceous porous support and the carbon fibers is provided. The method comprises a step of pre-treating the carbonaceous porous support with an alkaline degreasing liquid, a step of carrying out oxidative polymerization of a compound having an aromatic ring on the pre-treated carbonaceous porous support and in the carbonaceous porous support and producing a fibrillar polymer and a step of baking the fibrillar polymer and producing the carbon fibers.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
