PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asset management system for accurately and inexpensively managing the rental of assets.;SOLUTION: A communication terminal 10 reads a two-dimensional code attached to assets 40, and transmits decoded information or the like to a short-range communication part 20 by short-range radio communication. The short-range communication part 20 transmits information received from the information terminal 10 to an asset management server 30. The asset management sever 30 registers the rental etc. of the assets 40 in a database based on information received from the communication terminal 10 through the short-range communication part 20.
