METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING SUBMERGED BREAKWATER AND SUBMERGED BREAKWATER

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct, at low cost, a rigid submerged breakwater having high wave stability. PSOLUTION: A breakwater structure in which at least the outer layer part is formed of a submerged breakwater material made mainly of steel slag is constructed by stacking the submerged breakwater materials on a water bottom. At least the outer layer part of the breakwater structure is solidified by the water hardening action of the slag. Since the submerged breakwater material made mainly of the steel slag is used, the submerged breakwater can be constructed at low cost. At least the outer layer part of the submerged breakwater is naturally solidified by the water hardening action of the slag, the submerged breakwater with high wave stability can be constructed.
