PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyelectrolyte film having suppressed swelling property and improved durability without modification of the structure of a proton-conductive polymer while retaining the characteristics of the polymer such as proton conductivity, a manufacturing method of the film, a polymer composition constituting the polyelectrolyte film, and a polyelectrolyte film/electrode joined body and a fuel cell employing the polymer composition and/or the polyelectrolyte film. PSOLUTION: The polymer composition comprises (A) a hydrocarbon-based proton-conductive polymer or its derivative and (B) a compound of formula 1 (wherein R is a divalent organic group). The polymer composition, wherein a covalent bond is formed between the allyl group of a compound of formula 1 and the other allyl group and/or the proton-conductive polymer by e.g. heat treatment. A polyelectrolyte film made of the polymer composition and a polyelectrolyte film/electrode joined body and a fule cell employing the polymer composition and/or the polyelectrolyte film are also provided.
