PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyelectrolyte film having little swelling by water, methanol, etc. and especially a method of manufacturing the polyelectrolyte film having a high proton conductivity by filling up homogeneously the polyelectrolyte having a heat resistance in a porous base material and to provide the polyelectrolyte film, a film-electrode connector for a fuel cell showing good fuel cell characteristics, a solid polymer type fuel cell and a direct methanol type fuel cell. PSOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the polyelectrolyte film includes a step of filling up an electrolyte polymer liquid-like substance having a proton conduction function in the pores of a porous film, wherein the electrolyte polymer liquid-like substance having the proton conduction function shows a newton viscosity in relation between a stress and a shearing rate. The polyelectrolyte film is obtained by this method.
