PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain deterioration of the optical performance of an optical system, by readily adjusting the position of a lens, when assembling the lens in a lens-holding frame.;SOLUTION: By moving a second tool 53 in which a lens frame 23 is held, the lens frame, in which an eighth lens group 31 is held is inserted inside a third holding frame 20. Thereafter, image light irradiated from a light source 56 and transmitted through a chart 55 to be converted is transmitted through the eighth lens group 31, a seventh lens group, a sixth lens group, a fifth lens group, a fourth lens group, a third lens group, a second lens group, and a first lens group, in this order, and is projected onto a screen 51. By referring to an image projected onto the screen 51, the eccentricity of the eighth lens group 31 is adjusted by a position adjusting mechanism 68. After the eccentricity is adjusted, an injection device 70 is actuated, to inject an adhesive from an aperture 39 of the third holding frame 20, to fix the lens frame 23.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
