PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a strongly sticking liquid crystal spacer for obtaining a liquid crystal display device revealing excellent display quality since the environmental load in manufacturing is small, while the dispersion stability in a spacer dispersion liquid is excellent and an ink jet system is accurately arranged at an arbitrary position being a target on a substrate; and to provide a strongly sticking liquid crystal spacer, a spacer dispersion liquid, and a liquid crystal display device.;SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the strongly sticking liquid crystal spacer has: a process for adsorbing a surfactant on the surface of base substance particles in water and/or wettable organic solvent; a process for forming a polymerization monomer layer by further adsorbing a polymerization monomer being a raw material of an adhesive resin on the surface of the base substance particles adsorbing the surfactant; and a process for forming an adhesion layer comprising the adhesive resin on the surface of the base substance particles by polymerizing the polymerization monomer in the polymerization monomer layer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
