PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel printer which can avoid or reduce deterioration of an image quality due to the banding phenomenon caused by the flight deflection phenomenon, and deterioration of an image quality due to delivering defects of ink, and which can control an execution range of processing so as to avoid or reduce the image quality deterioration, and to provide a printer controlling program, a printer controlling method, an apparatus for generating data for printing, a program for generating data for printing and a method for generating data for printing. PSOLUTION: The printer 100 comprises: an image data acquiring part 10 which acquires image data; an image characteristic amount extracting part 11 which extracts an image characteristic amount from the acquired image data; a part 12 for generating data for printing which generates the data for printing by judging whether or not to carry out N-value processing accompanied with banding avoidance processing to nozzles related to the banding phenomenon on the basis of the image characteristic amount, and by carrying out N-value processing on the basis of the judgment resu and a printing part 13 which carries out printing processing on the basis of the data for printing.
