BISMUTH TITANATE-BASED NANOPARTICLE, PIEZOELECTRIC CERAMIC USING THE SAME, AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING THEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing a lead-free, bismuth-containing ceramic, which comprises previously synthesizing nanoparticles having a (Bi_1/2Na_1/2)TiO₃ or (Bi_1/2K_1/2)TiO₃ structure while strictly controlling the size and form, then forming a pellet by using the obtained nanoparticles, and sintering the formed pellet; and to provide a piezoelectric ceramic produced by using the ceramic.;SOLUTION: A method for producing sodium bismuth titanate or sodium bismuth titanate nanoparticles utilizes a gel-sol synthetic method comprising preparing a precursor in a gel state, then gradually dissolving the precursor to obtain a sol-like mixture, subjecting the obtained mixture to solid-liquid separation, and drying the resulting solid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
