PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing a lead-free, bismuth-containing ceramic, which comprises previously synthesizing nanoparticles having a (Bi1/2Na1/2)TiO3 or (Bi1/2K1/2)TiO3 structure while strictly controlling the size and form, then forming a pellet by using the obtained nanoparticles, and sintering the formed pellet; and to provide a piezoelectric ceramic produced by using the ceramic.;SOLUTION: A method for producing sodium bismuth titanate or sodium bismuth titanate nanoparticles utilizes a gel-sol synthetic method comprising preparing a precursor in a gel state, then gradually dissolving the precursor to obtain a sol-like mixture, subjecting the obtained mixture to solid-liquid separation, and drying the resulting solid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
