PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke system which automatically skips a song by determining that the song cannot be sung, during the playing of a medley.;SOLUTION: In the karaoke system which will skip the songs that cannot be sung by player during the medley performance, a karaoke playing means performs medley playing, based on the karaoke data according to control of a control means, and the karaoke data of the medley playing include identification information, indicating a linking position of a plurality of songs and identification information of a song starting period of each song, and the control means determines whether singing voice has been input from a microphone during the song starting period of each song; and if it is determined that voice has not been input, the song will be skipped, until the next linking position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
