PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device improved in convenience and capable of automatically detecting paper sheet size housed in each of a plurality of paper feeding stages with one operation without providing a dedicated paper sheet size detecting mechanism for each of the paper feeding stages and without an input by a user to set paper sheet size and capable of reducing costs by omitting the paper sheet size detecting mechanism and capable of preventing an input error by omitting the operation of the user for inputting paper sheet size to each of the paper feeding stages.;SOLUTION: This image forming device has a paper feeding means for feeding paper sheets one by one from the paper feeding stage, a paper sheet size detecting means for detecting paper sheet size of the fed paper sheet, and a paper delivering means for delivering the fed paper sheet to a specified paper delivery bin. This image forming device has a solid memory area for housing paper sheet size detected by the paper sheet size detecting means per each of the paper feeding stages, and has an instructing means for carrying out the continuous operation of the paper feeding means, the paper sheet size detecting means and the paper delivering means in relation to one or several paper feeding stages, and starts the paper sheet size detecting operation on the basis of an instruction by the instructing means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
