PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous distributed server capable of quickening the reading speed of content without damaging the reliability of a whole system. PSOLUTION: This autonomous distributed server 1 multiplexes and stores content Co in a plurality of autonomous storage devices 2, and transmits every block as the partial data of the content Co through different transmission paths to a client computer 5 in response to the distribution request of the content Co from the client computer 5, and assigns the block to be transmitted the next to the transmission path through which the block has been received by the client computer 5.
