PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for expressing rubisco of a eukaryote in a procaryote. PSOLUTION: The method for expressing a ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase of the eukaryote in the procaryote involves co-expressing an rbcX gene of blue-green algae with an rbcL gene of the eukaryote and an rbcS gene of the eucaryote in the procaryote. In the method, preferably, the eukaryote is a higher plant or a eukaryotic algae, and the procaryote is Escherichia coli or the blue-green algae. The gene construction usable for the method or the kit of the gene construction, and the recombinant procaryote transformed by the gene construction or the kit of the gene construction are also provided.
