PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduced shadowing in an imaging element array.;SOLUTION: An image sensor including a substrate, at least one metal layer (474), and a plurality of pixels (432) arranged in an array (30). The array includes a pair of perpendicular axes (436, 438) extending from an optical center (439).
