PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display having a light scattering pattern formed minutely unevenly on the surface of a base material and a diffraction grating pattern, to provide such a visual effect that both patterns seem to shine in white in the same way or become different clearly from each other when an observation condition is changed.;SOLUTION: A cell composed of diffraction gratings whose directions are same one another and which have at least two kinds of spatial frequencies is arranged in a minute area corresponding to a pixel as the diffraction grating pattern. The diffracted light from the cell with the diffraction grating in the minute area is set by a color blend so as to be viewed in white.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
