PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a business risk prediction method and device for predicting and evaluating a business loss value due to an accident or failure or the like throughout a business activity period. PSOLUTION: A business risk prediction method for predicting a business risk due to an accident or failure assumed in an industrial plant comprises an accident or failure setting step for setting a required accident or failure as the object of prediction of a business risk; a material data setting step for setting data relating to personnel, components and materials necessary for the repair or restoration of the accident or failure set by the accident or failure setting step; an evaluation step for evaluating a period and costs required for the repair or restoration of the accident or failure set by the accident or failure setting step; a decision step for deciding whether or not the number of setting or type of the accident or failure is sufficient; and a result output step for outputting the decision result determined by the decision step and the evaluation result evaluated by the evaluation step.
