METHOD FOR PRODUCING SOL CONTAINING METAL OXIDE SOL AND SOL CONTAINING METAL OXIDE SOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium oxide sol which contains particles each having a small diameter, can hold a dispersed state for a long period and exhibits low photocatalytic activity.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the sol containing the metal oxide sol includes a preparing step for preparing an aqueous solution containing a metal alkoxide and at least one kind of acidic catalyst in order to form sol containing a metal oxide sol by hydrolysis and condensation, and a step for treating aged sol by using a wet jet mill. In this method, after the formation of the metal oxide sol has been approximately finished and the sol has been aged, particles are mechanically made fine by the wet jet mill. Thereby, sols S1-S6 each containing metal oxide sol, in which fine particles each having a small diameter are stably dispersed, can be finally obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
